"The science we need, for the ocean we want"
The project achieved formal endorsement by UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, as part of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030. This endorsement recognises that the project will play a central role in supporting the UN Ocean Decade to catalyse transformative ocean science solutions for sustainable development and connecting people and the ocean.
